OSHA Caution Robot Operating Area Do Not Enter Authorized Personnel Only Sign Stickers

This sign means the area beyond it is an active robot operating zone where entry is restricted to trained and authorized personnel only. Industrial robots can move rapidly and with enough force to cause fatal injuries. This sign is a required administrative control at robot cell entry points under ANSI/RIA R15.06 (Safety Requirements for Industrial Robots).

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212 (General Machine Guarding) requires that workers be safeguarded from machine hazards through physical guards and administrative controls of which Authorized Personnel Only signage at robot cell entry points is a recognized component. ANSI/RIA R15.06 specifically recommends this signage as part of a compliant robot safety program.

Post at every entry point to the robotic work cell, including safety fence gates, perimeter access points, and any opening in the cell boundary. Post signs at eye level where they will be seen by anyone approaching. For large robot cells with multiple access points, each one requires its own sign.

The Do Not Enter variant explicitly prohibits entry making clear that the zone is off-limits, not just restricted. The Authorized Personnel Only variant specifies who is permitted. Both are commonly used together at robot cell entry points, with Do Not Enter facing outward for general workers.

Use Danger for industrial robot cells where unexpected robot movement could cause fatal injuries which applies to most industrial robot applications. Use Caution for collaborative robot (cobot) installations or lower-speed systems where the injury risk is assessed as less immediately life-threatening.
