FAQ's
What are Mixed Labels?
They are labels that show shipments or containers that have more than one item, part number or product type. In warehouse and distribution work, a box or pallet that has a mix of products needs to be marked so it is not handled the same way as a shipment with only one product.
Why does it matter to label content shipments?
Mistakes in sorting, inventory issues and errors in sending out products often come from shipments that have mixed items and were not clearly marked. A label that says "Mixed" on the outside of a box or pallet tells people who handle the package, pick items or receive the shipment to open it and check the inside without thinking everything is the same.
Where are Mixed labels used?
They are placed on boxes and pallets that go out the door and have more than one type of product. They are also used on boxes that come in from suppliers and have more than one item. They are used in warehouse areas where boxes or storage spots have more than one type of product and need to be marked so pickers and people who manage inventory know what is inside.
Do these labels work on stretch-wrapped pallets?
Yes. They stick well to stretch wrap, which is one of the most common surfaces for marking pallets in a warehouse. Press the label down hard. Smooth out any air bubbles for the best stickiness on plastic wrap.
Are these labels used in e-commerce fulfillment work?
Yes. Orders that have more than one item and are picked, packed and put together are a perfect use case.
Can these labels be used with types of labels like QC or receiving labels?
Yes. It is common to put a label with a QC status label or a receiving instruction label, on the same box. Each label gives different information about the same shipment.
