A CAUTION label is the choice when the hazard could cause minor to moderate injury but the risk of a severe or fatal outcome is low under normal circumstances. Slippery floors, pinch points that could trap a finger mild electrical shock risks and ergonomic hazards around equipment are CAUTION-level situations.
Does using CAUTION mean the hazard is not worth worrying about?
Not at all. A CAUTION label still identifies a hazard that needs to be communicated. The signal word tells workers the severity level so they can respond appropriately not whether to pay attention all. Ignoring a CAUTION can still result in injury.
